MCCP and McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant at Reston Town Center hosted a "Healthy Dining, Healthy Kids" luncheon on June 28, attended by several area business executives and other special guests, including Board of Supervisors Chairman Gerry Connolly, State Senator Jeannemarie Devolites Davis and County Executive Anthony Griffin. After hearing a presentation by Executive Chef Patrick Ferguson, MCCP Director Emily Bryant discussed the importance of the public-private partnership in MCCP's success. Corporate support, in the form of financial donations, in-kind donations and volunteer time, is what allows MCCP to provide medical and dental care to 4000 children per year in Fairfax County. This is the first of a series of executive luncheons that will be hosted at McCormick & Schmick's as part of their support for MCCP.
