This was not a hoax at all! The employees of the Lewin Group, a premier national health care and human services consulting firm in Falls Church, raised over $5,000 at their annual fundraiser and named MCCP their Charity of choice for 2005. The Lewin Group company matched their employees’ donations for a total of over $10,000. Representatives from the Lewin Group presented the check to Sandy Lowe on April 1st at the OOP, where they were treated to lunch and presented with MCCP stars. During lunch, the group learned that the Lewin Group was called Lewin Associates back in the 1980’s, and MCCP had used their consulting services back then. The Lewin Group has asked that the money is allocated to both dental and specialty care MCCP programs to benefit underserved children in Fairfax County.
